Different Strokes for Different Folkes

Keeping an open mind is key. At one point in time I exclusively listened to one type of music and that is it.

Talk about being musically deprived( whatever that means). However as I learn to open my mind and accept other music , I developed a taste for a variety of other brands of music.
What bugs me is when people who strictly listen to one type of music , bash other genres before actually acquiring a taste for it. That may sound weird to some people, you may be thinking to your self, if music is good you don't have to " acquire a taste for it" or whatever.  If your accustomed to one type of music, food, style your whole life. Anything that is out your ' norm" ,  initially it may seem " different or "wack" to you.
Make sense?
One last thing, to the people who " claim" they listen to all types of music because they like one rock, or rap song, or cause you danced to a techno song at the club.
You don't, so stop being fraudulent.

Can you feel the music?

Train - If It's Love

This Might be fairly old. But plain and simple. Great Song.

Dopetry

 I was looking at an old photo album and I found this poem that my aunt wrote titled " Mem'ries ."
 One word. Dope.

                                                       Mem'ries

Like the corners of my mind
Misty water colored memories
of the way we were
Scattered pictures,
Of the smiles we left behind
Smiles we gave to one another
For the way we were
Can it be that it was all so simple then ?
Or has time re-written every line?
If we had the chance to do it all again

Tell me, would we ? could we?
Mem'ries, may be beautiful and yet
What's to painful to remember
we simply choose to forget
So its the laughter
We will remember
Whenever we remember...
The way we were
The way we were...

Home Studio Essentials

So you've decided you wanted to to invest in  a home recording studio or a place where you can lay down your vocals/instrumentals tracks. Yes, it is possible to make good quality tracks with out spending a kizzillion dollars on a world class studio. In case you are fairly new to this I will tell you the basic and essential things you need to build your home recording studio.

-> The 1st thing you need is a flexible  budget.
-Although it wont cost you a fortune , depending on your needs you might have to spend a pretty penny.

->A COMPUTER-a powerful processor with a lot of ram  and external hard drive.
-In the age of computer based recording, I recommend a MAC, however a PC can get the job done ,
Ext Hd- for all your files in case your comp crashes and to spare your default hard drive.
Music software eats up at your computers memory , so you need a computer that can handle the work.

-> a DAW( Music Software)
Weather your recording vocals or producing beats there are a myriad to choose from ranging from Protools,
Logic, Sonar, Fruity loops,Reasons,Etc. Even free Daws such as Audacity.
Some programs' require an interface, matter of fact most of them do.
If you plan on using Protools plan on buying an interface.

->Condenser Microphone
If you plan on doing any recording , your going to need a mic.
Invest in yourself, if you want good sound quality, you get what you pay for.
So don't opt for the 75$ USB mic. Save up for the quality mic , you'll appreciate it.

-> Studio Monitors
They can range from anywhere 75$-1000$ . But for starters you want something small -medium sized, reliable , with good sound clarity. You want Playback right? Unless.....you just listen through your headphones : /

-> Studio Headphones
Dont be Cheap with these. Buying good quality head phones is a good investment, it comes in handy when it comes time to mix your tracks. You want to hear the detail and clarity.

-> WorkStation(Producers)
Primarily this will  be your Midi keyboard or your drum machine, mpc etc. In most cases get your self a nice midi keyboard and you'll do some nice things with it.

Misc-

>Mic Stand
>Sound Proof
>Pop Filter
>Cables
>iLOK
>Alternate LCD Monitor

"Aint I so clean like I hopped up outta magazine"

If your still using regular soap its time to switch over. This soap has done wonders for my skin, it also smells and feels great! Regular soap with those chemicals and animal fats just cannot compete. One bar will last about 2months. Also a portion of your purchase is donated to help fund education in Africa.
Now c'mon thats awesome!
Improve your skin and help some children obtain quality education!
